A police officer with the Ibusa Divisional Police Station, Delta State Command, has been fingered in the shooting of an 18 year old girl identified as Sofia Ogogo and her friend identified as Victor Emeagwai at a check point on November 19th after allegedly demanding a bribe of N1000 from the them.

The policemen allegedly demanded for N200 which the driver of the car, Jerry stated he didn’t have, and the officers proceeded to demand for the N1000 they saw in the car.
Jerry was on the verge of driving out of the checkpoint when one of the policemen opened fire on his car and the bullet which penetrated the car, hit Sophia and the alleged assailant identified as Sergeant Abua took to his heels from the scene and is currently on the run.
Sergeant Abua reportedly ran to the station, left his gun there and fled.
